However, the shadow above me swooped down like a black hawk and slammed into my body, claws gashing my armour open as if it were made of paper and slicing my torso with poisoned talons. I flew through the air in slow-motion, the blood loss causing my senses to dull and dim as the sounds of its roar seemed blurred in my ears.
